About

After several careers in government and private enterprise as a decision-maker, educator, broadcaster and businessman I am now able to turn my attention to writing. I live in Prince Edward Island, Canada, and I write non-fiction and fiction. I am a private pilot, amateur (ham) radio operator, amateur photographer, and traveller.

My memoir, Tugging at the Edge of the Flag, is in its final stages. My main fiction work, provisionally titled Flare: The Big One, is well under way. It tells the story of North American society’s attempts to cope with news that a devastating solar flare is imminent.

I have other works in process, including The Pirate, the Prostitute and the President, a book I am co-writing with Cameron Gunn about genealogy sleuthing; and and basic introduction to Administrative Law for laypersons (title to be determined).
